Erectile dysfunction is a very common disease throughout the male population that can already occur after puberty. Statistics show that more than 13% of the entire male population (including all age groups from 0 – XX years) are affected. This in total sums up to 5,6 million male adults in Germany alone. In Europe this would sum up to roughly 34 million affected male adults.
The determination whether the cause of the erectile dysfunction is physiological or psychological appears easy. Typically, a healthy adult man has between 1 to 5 erections during the night sleep, which are lasting between 15 to 40 minutes.
The absence of these nightly erections is an indicator for a physiological cause of the erectile dysfunction and can for example be an early sign for many diseases, e.g. different cardiopulmonary problems, diabetes, hernia, hepatitis etc.
The reasons for erectile dysfunction can be either psychological or physiological or a mix of both (typically 50% of all patients have a physiological cause, 30% psychological and 20% it is a mix of both).
The inhibition threshold to visit a specialist doctor and seek for professional help is especially in the early stages a high hurdle. The suffering and psychological stress of those affected is very high, especially since in many cases the partner, family and relationship are also affected.
What is EreNox
EreNox continuously records the penis circumference during the night. The recorded circumference data is transferred to a visualization app for android or iOS and displayed in charts. The charts help to visualize changes in penis circumference during nightime sleep over time. Visualized changes in circumference can help to detect nocturnal erections.
How it works
EreNox consists of a measurement cuff made from high comfort elastic fabric. The recording and detection electronics is completely integrated. It is controlled by a mobile app based on android or iOS. The recording is started through the app. Once started EreNox records, independtly from the mobile, changes in penis circumference. The local storage capacity lasts for 10 hours. In the morning and after recording stop through the app the circumference data is transferred to the app for display and evaluation by the user.

The EreNox is a single person use time limited recording device. We aim for a total recording time of 100 plus hours. Equivalent to approximately 10 nights of recording.
EreNox is not a diagnostic device. It does not interpret the recorded circumference it is just recording and visualizing. The interpretation is up to the User or through a medical expert e.g. an urologist.
